We work hard to make the most of your time because we understand everyone is busy - especially small business owners!

 

Here's how our tax preparation appointments work:

 

Booking:

  • Schedule your choice of appointment at https://www.paradymefinancial.com/schedule . You will pay a non-refundable booking fee at the time of scheduling and choose a date and time for your virtual appointment.

    • Individuals, sole proprieter business owners, single-member LLC owners, or those who have 'gig' economy work (Doordash, etc.) should sign up for the Individual/Sole Prop option. This includes both single and married (if filing joint) designations.

    • Partnerships and multi-member LLCs should choose the Partnership option.

    • C and S corporations should choose the corporation option.

    • Please note that PARTNERSHIP and CORPORATE bookins do not include a personal return, only the business return. If you would like us to file both your business and personal returns, make two bookings - one for individual tax prep and one for your business!

 

Information Gathering:

  • Around the middle of January 2023, we will send out the first client questionaires and information about the tax season.

    • If you are a new client, you will receive an email to activate TaxDome, our secure client software. We use it to exchange documents, message, and fill out client data sheets. It is required and free for you to use!

    • Taxdome also has a very convenient mobile app available that can 'scan' documents or photos, easily upload files, send us secure messages, and give you on-the-go access to your client questionaires. We highly recommend downloading it.

    • Your Taxdome file storage is unlimited - you are more than welcome to use it for receipt storage, file backups, or anything business-related.

  • You will need to have all client questionaires completed AND all relevant documents uploaded to Taxdome at least 10 days before your appointment date. Failure to do so will result in your appointment being rescheduled and a $50 reschedule fee charged. We require ALL information to be uploaded and available BEFORE we start preparing the return.

  • After finishing your client questionaire, you will be sent an invoice through Taxdome for our second payment. Please pay promptly. We will not start your tax return preparation until this is paid. (This does not apply to corporation or partnership appointments)

 

Preparation:

  • Keep an eye on your TaxDome messages and email in case we need more information or clarification on any of your documents. We appreciate prompt responses so we can continue working!
  • Otherwise, sit back as we do our magic!

 

Appointment:

  • On your appointment date, we have a video conference through Zoom (or if you are a previous client who opted for the pre-recorded Loom, we'll send that to you). We will screen-share with you and go over your return with you. This is your chance to ask questions or clarify things before your return is finalized. A client copy of your return will also be provided through Taxdome for you to download and review.

 

Approval:

  • After your appointment, if there are no concerns, we will send you a return approval. Please login to Taxdome and carefully review your return and approve or disapprove it. If you are disapproving, please put comments stating why so we can review it.
  • Approving your tax return IS NOT SIGNING IT.

 

Signing:

  • Once you approve your return, we will send you final signature documents to e-sign your return. If you are filing joint with a spouse, they will also need to sign. You do this through Taxdome via an email they send you.
  • You'll also receive a final invoice with your balance due. We do not file your return until this is paid.
  • PLEASE be on the lookout for these after your appointment and make them a priority so we can send your return to the IRS in a timely manner. 
  • When things are all signed and paid, we e-file your returns with the IRS and states (if applicable) and you're done!
